Although you speak about it so humbly, Chris, your craftsmanship is superb. Your 'don't move on until you've finished a step' is excellent advice for any craftsperson. I remember a Windsor chair you made being one of the loveliest things a few years back. Now this house is rewarding you (and us!) with the respect and care you are bringing to it.
Thanks for the very nice comment. I am feeling a bit broody about not having my shop - particularly since I found that some snakes have fouled some of my favorite hand tools that were stored in an open box. Not a contingency I had planned for. There may be some space in the barn for a Woodturning studio and a very nice lathe. I have this idea of a bank of windows and a woodstove, but I don’t know if I can bump it up the list of priorities.
