Thanks Tui. This was one of those serendipitous moments where three data points suddenly come together. Genealogy research pointed me to the grave site. The slave schedule turned up while doing research on land ownership. And while researching Yardley for a previous newsletter, I learned more about the Quaker community in this area which included discussion of expelling members for holding slaves. It's only a hypothesis, but a probable one. I love when that happens.
